Away from the bright lights and boulevards, the Miami area also offers an abundance of eco-friendly recreation in Miami Beach including trails, waterways, dive parks and other outdoor adventures. You’ll have many stories to tell when you explore these areas in the Eco Adventures program. There’s something for everyone and for every size group. All programs are led by experts and provide the necessary transportation, equipment and any training to help you get the most from your adventures.
Eco-Adventures offers a series of tours exploring the popular waterways of our Miami-Dade Parks and related resource areas. Trips vary in endurance and length from half to full day trips. Ask about ratings for each trip. Most are easy to moderate. For special groups, trips can be structured to match your desired level, time and challenge.
Explore Key Biscayne at the pace it was meant to be seen. Peddle through history on flat scenic wilderness trails while discovering the rich history of Key Biscayne. Let a Miami-Dade Parks naturalist point out and describe unique sights during a tour designed for your group’s skills and endurance. Remember, Lapis Spa is always ready to soothe any sore muscles.
Participants must be at least nine years of age. Hybrid mountain bikes and helmets are provided.
There’s more to exotic Miami waterways than the Atlantic Ocean. Hop in a canoe to get an up-close view of the natural wonders that line the quiet inland waterways. These equipped tours are led by experienced and knowledgeable naturalist-guides who can help you select the half or full day trip that suits your abilities, time and interests.
